We have just had a fabulous afternoon tea at Normanton Park Hotel. Everything was fresh and delicious. Top quality bread, salmon, ham, tuna, beef. The scones were home made and served warm with firm, good quality clotted cream and jam and the little cakes were a delight. The staff prepared and served this afternoon tea with care and attention. It is the best afternoon tea that I have had - for me, it even beat the Savoy!

Fantastic location, right on Rutland water, just a very short walk to the lakeside. The hotel and all of their team were brilliant, very helpful and attentive. We stayed with our collie dog and she was welcome in the bar area and even had a side section of the breakfast room for us to take her in whilst we had breakfast. All in all an absolute gem of a hotel and we will definitely be back..

Lovely afternoon tea in a very picturesque location. Staff were friendly Despite it being a bleak winter’s day, the hotel was warm and welcoming. We had a lovely afternoon tea and then walked it off by the reservoir taking in the beautiful surroundings of the reservoir and the picture perfect Normanton church.

We stayed on a two nights for the price of one deal so value for money was fantastic but wouldn't have been so happy at full price. I was going to knock a star off for the room being really dated with cracked floor tiles, a repaired bed with the screws showing and a shody seal on the bath but the bed was really comfortable, the shower was hot and the room was warm so felt that was unfair. However I had to knock a star off for the breakfast. On the first night there was no milk for the cereal! Never heard of a hotel running out of milk. Also the baked beans and mushrooms weren't very warm at all. However the next morning it was really nice so hopefully just blip. The location was amazing though and having breakfast overlooking the water was brilliant.

Booked myself and my mum in for her birthday afternoon tea. Bought on Moonpig. Quiet location and seating was lovely looking over Rutland water. Service was impressive- quick and attentive to me not eating certain foods. Food wise - lovely and fresh. Lots there for the price, more importantly- my mum really enjoyed it

Visited Normanton Park for a wedding. Beautiful surroundings on shore of Rutland water. Room comfortable with a small balcony overlooking water. Had a very fancy toilet and spa bath, very nice indeed. Food and service very good, staff were approachable and friendly and accommodating. The wedding was very well put together. Would definitely stay here again

We (my wife and I) went for afternoon tea on Sunday afternoon so I can't leave a star rating for the rooms. Anyway, we were led through from the reception area in to a conservatory which overlooked Rutland Water which was very nice, on the way through we could see that there were some nice seating areas if you just wanted a hot or cold drink. The tea for 2 people was brought through to us and although it wasn't anything special compared to other afternoon teas that we have had it was still perfectly fine. The lady who served us was polite and helpful. We ate almost everything but decided to take the 2 scones, jam and clotted cream home with us to eat later, we asked the waiter if it would be possible and he said yes and took the remaining food away to be put in to something suitable to take it home in. A couple of hours later when we went to eat the scones, jam and cream we were quite disappointed to find that all we had been given were the scones minus the jam and cream which had been paid for. Having said the above, we would still both be happy to pay a return visit in the future.

Had a most fabulous afternoon tea at Normanton Park Hotel today, using a voucher I’d been given as a birthday present. Wanted to visit somewhere out of our usual routine and I’m so pleased I picked this venue overlooking Rutland Water. The weather was cold and damp but inside was warm and cosy. Service polite, friendly and professional from all staff. The tea itself was superb. A lovely big teapot of quality tea and a wide range of delicious treats on offer. I’d ordered a gluten free tea and was not disappointed. The sandwiches and cakes were all spot-on. Nothing was skimped on all good quality. As for the scones with jam and clotted cream well, these are the best gf scones I have ever eaten! Light in texture with a good flavour and perfectly served gently warm. Look forward to a future visit when the weather is warmer. Highly recommend this place.
